"Artifix does it again with another killer, crucial record.

Originally recorded in the titular year and released by a German label in 2005 as a 12”, this is a woefully too short sole document of a band that morphed into first-wave San Gabriel Valley punk darlings the Simpletones.

Two short, punchy, obnoxious (again, take a look at the date it was recorded) originals and a cover of the Avengers’ “We Are the One” are all you get, culled from a surprisingly well-recorded session in their rehearsal room, remastered, and properly repackaged as a 7”.

The results could easily be slipped onto a Rip Offs LP and no one would blink. Good, good listening here. "
